Fall leaves
7th November 2008
We just got back from a walk around our neighborhood and through the woods. The fall colors exploded today. I took some pictures of the beautiful trees on my commute home from work today. Then we went for a walk and got some more pictures. Fall is so beautiful in Birmingham!
- Analise smiles for a picture as she dances around “her tree” — the tree we planted for her when she was just 6 months old.
- This tree is easily the prettiest in our neighborhood during the fall season, but it has already lost most of its leaves and just left a blanket on the ground
- Close-up of the blanket of leaves
- Josiah was walking beside me when he suddenly turned around and said “i left my fruit snacks … gotta get my fruit snacks” and off he trotted down the trail towards the stroller you can see in the distance
- This is the trail analise and i take every tuesday and thursday to get to school
- Analise said the other day that this was the trail we take when poppa dale comes to visit — amazing that she would remember that from the one time we went down this trail months ago

- Josiah fell down right as I took this picture. I’m surprised I didn’t catch him in mid-air because the timing was just that close.
- I running, I running
- I dry-brushed this image but left the colors alone – it was incredible with the sunlight making the leaves look like they were on fire!
- Analise was able to push Josiah up this steepest hill in our neighborhood, but only for about a foot or two before it started to roll back on top of her when she decided she was tired.
- Analise and Josiah decided they needed a rest halfway up the hill in front of our house
